Waste Collection, Street Cleaning and Recycling Opportunities
Proposing a pilot of wheeled bins to cover a
sample of around 1,200 households to test the benefits or otherwise
of this method of collection and to ask Scrutiny to assess whether
it offers opportunities to improve street cleanliness and ensure
value for money for council tax payers.

Consultation process
It is proposed to consult with residents in
the affected area as part of the assessment of the effectiveness of
the proposed approach.
It is requested that the Sustainable Communities Overview and
Scrutiny Panel agree to review the findings of the pilot and
contribute to a further report to Cabinet on the outcomes and
options for the future of the services.
