Living Wage Employer Accreditation

The newly formed Merton Council administration has expressed its desire to obtain accreditation from the Living Wage Foundation, thereby become a Living Wage Employer. This report asks Members to note what is required for the Council to achieve said accreditation; note the indicative cost implications; and approve Merton seeking accreditation by introducing the Real Living Wage into Merton contracts, as and when the contracts come up for re-tendering.
