Allocation of Neighbourhood CIL Funding

The Cabinet decision is being sought with respect to Neighbourhood Community Infrastructure Levy Funding as follows:
•Allocation towards two urgent projects to support impacts of covid upon community facilities namely £49,650 to Care Support Merton for promoting digital equality for carers and £35,000 to the Citizens Advice Bureau to cover an additional Debt Advisor or General Advisor to address capacity challenges.
•With respect of a proposal for £300,000 funding towards Morden Town Centre improvements EITHER:
option 1 – approve the allocation
OR
option 2 – defer the decision so that it can be taken alongside the decision to allocate funding to proposals submitted to the 2021 Neighbourhood CIL bidding round on the basis that the improvements are delivered by 31 March 2022.
