We understand there is a pandemic and various measures have been put in place to reduce the speed of the virus. However choosing a school is an important task that requires a number of factors to consider. When parents are refused prior access to the school it obstructs thier decision making.
We would like an alternative to give parents optimal opportunities to fully explore the schools.
We call for tours at a time when children may not be in school, social distancing to be observed and all visitors to wear PPE.
We request a possible extension to the deadline of January 15 to give parents opportunities to visit schools.

Thank you for your petition. Whilst we understand the
frustration of not being about to visit prospective schools under
the current pandemic each school will need to assess the risk to
pupils and staff of allowing entry to their site. Many schools have
created virtual tools as an alternative to physical visits.
Government guidance to schools is regularly updated and can found
at
https://www.gov.uk/government/collections/guidance-for-schools-coronavirus-covid-19
We would expect schools to use this guidance and adapt them to
their particular circumstances. Once guidance from the Government
permits safe reopening of school sites schools will need to
consider how to do so.
