Security at Vestry Hall is currently provided
by Kingdom Security but it is unclear how this contract was
originally procured and it is necessary to put a compliant contract
in place. As the council already has a corporate security provider
(Profile Security Services Ltd) we will vary the corporate contract
to add Vestry Hall. This will ensure that Vestry Hall security is
provided under a compliant contract and avoids the need for a new
procurement exercise. Existing staff will be transferred to the new
provider through the TUPE process.
As the contract was awarded and is managed by Facilities Management
authorisation must be sought from the Chief Executive. The value of
the proposed variation is £225,000 but the total value of the
contract, including this variation, will be £1,725,000.
