• The Objector raised concerns on the access which would disturb local residentsif guestsarrive anddepart 24hoursa day
• TheObjectorwouldlikethedevelopmentto haveonsitesecurityasthiswould preventanyillegal activities beingcarried out
The Applicantspokein responseandmade points including
• Thatthecurrentapplicationfollowsa previousapplicationsmallerthanthe previousschemein 2019,which hasbeenchangedduetothecurrentclimate for hotels
• Theschemehasexistingtenants,thedevelopersarelookingto workwith other schemes such as Go nativeto producea viablescheme
• Localresidentswelcomedtheschemeassomewherefamilymembersand friends couldstay whenvisiting Wimbledon
• Theaccesshasbeenmaintainedandtheold elementsoftheschemestripped back

Objectorspointsincluding:
• ThePolicecommentedontheschemeandrecommendedconditionswhich has beenplacedin thePlanningreport recommendations
The Planning Officer responded to Membersquestions
• ThePlanningOfficercouldnotplaceconditionsontheinternalsecurityofthe building as itwas an operational aspect
• Modern shop fronts windows would be put in place and conditions for safeguardingshopfrontdesigns
• The Planning Officer did nothave figureson employmenttheschemewould generate.
