RESOLVED

1.    That the Merton Insurance Contract 2020-26 be awarded to Bidder  E (Lot 1,2 and 3)  and Bidder C (Lot 4) for an initial period of 3 years 7 months  years with the option to extend for a further  2 years.

2.    That authority be delegated to the Director of Corporate Services, in consultation with the Lead member for Finance to approve the extension of this contract, if required from April 2024 to March 2026.

The Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Finance presented the report which set out the proposal to award the contract for the London Borough of Merton insurancecontractsfor Property,Liability, Motor and Travel.  He thanked the Director of Corporate Services and the officers involved for their work during this period.

The Director of Corporate Services advised that a lot of the Council’s insurance was recovered from schools and local businesses.  Officers are monitoring the sustainability of those businesses and will report back if there are any changes throughout the course of the year.
